Hmmm lost my post somehow anyway,

I stopped in there yesterday for some help with my XT front axle and I was treated very well and left still needing an axle but very happy I stopped in.
So far every dealing I have had with them has been very pleasant.

Thanks again guys, makes me glad I bought a Subaru even if it's an odd ball.

keep in mind: they charge $360 for a GD chassis axle.

I got one from the guy who remanufactures ther axles for $80

We get our reman axles from Subaru. Your cost on a GD axle should be 295.97 for a front RS axle and the same for each rear axle. That's for a new axle, not a reman unit. We haven't gotten any updates as far as a reman axle part number from Subaru for the GD chassis, or for just about any of the Subarus past 2001. John, did you end up ordering an axle?

    Nope I didn't,

Seems that nobody can come up with the right part. Most of the books show a 23 spline axle for the 5sd man XT and dont list a turbo unless you look under the auto trans. I have a 25 spline axle.

I had to have some bearings pressed in the hub so I brought the axle in with me to Clutch and U-Joint down the road from you guys and got it rebuilt there. They charged me 79.00 since I'm a member of MSMA. Thing looks better then new. :)

I heard it clicking and since I was that far into it I figured I would replace wheel bearings and the ball joint.

    Heh,

Well, I should get my quotes from you then!

Well, the $80 reman was made by a guy who says he does tons of remans for SOA dealers, suspected that he had done a few for minneapolis area dealers. Anyways, it was a heck of a deal, and the CVs boots he uses are much better than the stock ones too.

We've used Clutch and U Joint for some of our rebuilds, they've done very good work. They did the axles on my old 4000 for a decent price. Some of those older parts just don't seem to come up in our parts catalogs or our books. Sorry about that!

Esperunit, I'm here anytime you need anything ;) If you need a quote on anything hit up my post in the buy/sell forums. I try to check it a couple times a day.

FYI: Zach, your axles arnt the only ones that are 360. if i remember correctly Klesks axles from Subaru would have been 360 also. since they didnt have any remans.
