I can't offer any direct info on this particular line of cleaning products, but I would also guess that there would be something comparable available somewhere in town?

I have actually had good luck with WD-40 and an electric rotary-type toothbrush. No kidding. I bought some used rims and and to do some scrubbing. It didn't get them brand new, but damn close.

Just asked a buddy of mine who's a pro. He says that Zep-A-Lum (Zep Product) is excellent and readily available. Didn't say where to buy it? Can't use it on bare aluminum though, it will corrode it. He says it's pretty much spray on, rinse off. No scrubbing. Even two years of soccer-mom minivan brake dust comes right off. I'll be getting some of that the next time I need some!

Now he tells me that you need some sort of permit or certification to buy it. I guess it's too corrosive to sell to the public? Might still be able to find it online though? Maybe they make a "retail" version too?

Zep-A-Lume contains hydrofluoric acid. Nasty stuff.

Shee-ite! No wonder it cuts the dust! My buddy is bringing me a small bottle of it. I'll have to test it out on the "regular" car before it sees the BBS wheels on the STI...

Supposed to be completely safe (for the wheels) when used properly though.

I would be extremely careful with that man. DO NOT get it on your skin, especially in your eyes as you CANNOT wash it out. I used to work at a car wash that used stuff similar to this and it is nothing to mess with. Even breathing the fumes is very bad for you. I would wear. Long rubber gloves, an apron, goggles, and a face shield over your goggles. Seriously, nothing wrong with being too careful when messing with this stuff.
