Okay so I got lucky last week at the Bloomington Subaru Rally Fest and won a certificate for a FREE K&N Intake system of my choice. Though the choice may be obvious, I'd like to hear what kind of experienced others have had between a short intake vs Cold Air Intake on a Subaru. On top of that I currently have a Perrin "spong" short intake w/Big Maf adapter. If things dont workout I guess I can settle for some K&N oil filters if they will let. And thanks again to Scott Putnam.

    Current mods to consider:
    BIG TMIC
    BIGGER TURBO
    Perrin Inlet hose
    Koyo Radiator

You should hook me up with that certificate y0.

Since you're going open ecu, i think you'll need that big maf for that big turbo.

Well, if you have a bif maf and need a big maf, the k&n will not do you any good. Hopefully if you are running the big maf, you have tuned for it.

Get the short ram, sell it and go buy something that you need. Everyone with a new WRX wants an intake no matter what they are told. It'll sell fast.

I figure the Certificate alone would sell even faster, but whats even faster than selling it is giving it away to a friend. It was between the girl friend down the street or the friend. jk LOL

I was hoping to make this a somewhat useful thread for FAQ, I know whats best for my setup but do the noob?

Now I gotta go see if I can win something at Ray's AWD Subaru meet this weekend!

    Enjoy!
