Just picked up my springs (thanks Josh) and now I need to get some camber bolts before installing. I was wondering if the ones on oakos.com are any different than ones you could pick up at a local shop? What does everyone else use here...? for reference, here's the link to the oakos bolts http://www.oakos.com/Merchant2/merc...Code=355&Product_Code=81260&Category_Code=800 I should specify...I'm talking about rear camber bolts
how much of a drop? I never had any rear camber adjustment other than stock in the rear when I was slammed on coilovers. tire wear was normal (around -2 camber). I'd personally just skip the camber bolts
you may or may not need them, depends on your car. However, you can get them local...at O'Riellys FYI- it's never a bad idea to throw some in while your in there. when you go get your alignment after the installation you call pull some understeer out by running less camber in the rear.....
Those look just like the Whiteline Camber Bolts I got from MAPerformance. A little cheaper tho. I haven't gotten mine in yet - waiting for the alignment and I gotta drive a ways to get it done. I wouldn'ta paid WL prices for the camber bolts, but I needed a few other things and MAPerformance gave me some good prices on the other stuff so it was worth just coughing up and getting the bolts at the same time.
So from my understanding, the stock rear camber bolts aren't adjustable on our WRX's. And when a car is dropped, it increases the camber which can be corrected in the front due to the adjustable bolts...but not in the rear. How bad is the camber in the rear if you just drop it on the stock bolts?
I very low with no bolts in rear - I had about -2 degrees of camber which didn't really wear the tires
I'll be contacting you in the next couple weeks for help with the install...and when I mean help I mean you tell me what to do and I'll hopefully learn something out of it
