im running the crower 272's and they work great but as far as your case get the turbo and the cams then tune it all at once or it would kind of be a waste.

I would personally wait to but them until you do your whole build.

I think Sir Readymixalot has Crowers in his car.

+1 It's a waste of money to get tuned twice. Also, installing a turbo is a helluva lot easier than cams, which is why most people get a turbo first.

Just throwing in cams without a larger turbo is a waste. Cams will most likely open up the breathing up top, and without a turbo that can support a lot of flow in the same range, your power band will be all messed up.

Yep. No point in getting cams for more upper midrange and top end if your TD04 peters out around the start of the effective RPM range. And definately no point to tuning for said cams without a turbo that makes power where the cams benefit.

If you're running e85 you can probably get close to 300 whp with a vf39. You certainly don't need cams to make 300whp.

A vf22 would probably work for you. I think you can get those for cheaper than a 16g.

I will pray for you my friend.. My stock tranny lasted about 4 months. Than I had to go to PPG. It's better to just pay for it once than for it to keep breaking. Better baby it!! And shift smooth. At the time I put down 278 hp.

My EVO3-16G-8cm^2 gets me really close if not 300whp already with pump gas on my hybrid build. I pretty much have almost all bolt-ons except cams; Perring Big MAF, turboinlet, bigger TMIC, EVO3-16g-8cm, 4-1 headers, 3" TBE.

If I where to have a RACE GAS MAP done w/ more boost I'd be close to 350whp.

I have crower 272s. Too aggressive for a 16G/VF22 or the like. A 264 cam maybe, but honestly, the stock heads and cams likely support the power levels you wish to attain just fine. The amount of money and labor required to change them out will not benefit you much in the long run.
