Ive been stranded on the freeway cause of a blown fuse too... the ignition fuse blow which turned off the stand alone. It took a day to figure out.

 

are you kidding me? wasnt even one of the simple solutions i said, it was a damn fuse... wow

 

so everybody! keep in mind...to check fuse first!!!

 

Lesson learned. Time to play. Rock falls is just around the corner!

 

dao, fuji blew your fuse after you beated him. I guess karma sucks cause you messed with his MBC just before you guys went at it. Muahahaha... J/K! I drove this thing and its... kinda cool, haha

don't feel too bad....I think pretty much all of us have had a fuse fail and spent many hours trying to find the real cause.

mine was in my '85 subie.....blew the engine fuse, so the ECU wasn't getting power. tach didn't work, and car had no power (had a feedback carb, so it would limp on mechanically, but ran extremely rich). AND, the gas gauge didn't work (separate problem). drove it for about a week like that, until it ran out of gas, because it only made about half the mileage it should have.
