Car melting!

Okay, so not the whole car, but I noticed the slight melting of the rear bumper immediately above the fart can. Can't see it yet unless your under the car and I'd like to take care of it asap.

Does any have a favorite remedy? Shields vs. different hangers like Kartboy?

I need something that looks or works good, but prefer not to drop over $100 unless I absolutely have to.

Suggestions?

I think this is God's way of telling you that Eden Prairie and it's residents hate your exhaust.

 

Maybe the longer kartboy hangers? It may look funny depending on your particular set up but I would think should help out. And its pretty cheap. if you order from them they always seem to have fast shipping which is nice.Good luck.

Take this off-topic. We know you are just going to start bragging about installing a jet turbine to power your car. :biggrin:

You can make some sort of heat shroud, but adjusting your hangers so the fart can sits lower is probably easiest.

Personally, I vote for melting. :laugh:

 

+1 for using kartboy long hangers

 

+2billion for longer hangers, i put them on for my Bosal exhaust (natorious for melting bumpers) and i havent had any problems! I only put the longer hangers on the muffler piece i didnt use the mid pipe hanger

 

I just leave it melted. If its like mine, its already melted off as much as it will ever melt.

makes it look mean! (or thats what you can tell yourself while you spend money on something else)

I got the exhaust tip cut and welded to free up some space back there. No more black bumper. It cost me $40 at a local exhaust shop.
