Does anyone know of a cheap (and I mean cheap) source for SUV rentals? I usually can grab a jeep cherokee for 250 or so and this year they are 450+:eek4:

We've decided to drive to Colorado & Wyoming for this years snowboard trip.

I've always used the old suck up to the rental counter person route.
I reserve low and get better cars, gotten G35x and A4 2.0Tq for full-size price. Subaru legacy and outback for standard price (these are both classed as small SUVs by Hertz)
Also, never ever rent from the airport.

thanks you two. I've tried through my employer and insurance company. both have discounts but they are only 10%. I've been spoiled for the past several years and always gotten the best deal...not this year. yet:)

FWIW, the enterprise in (well near) downtown st paul has always been easy to deal with in terms of "deals"
