Ok so I own a 1996 Brighton, and basically there is no interior left in the car its an awesome car I love her to death. But, I just found out in at the end of this year that I could buy an a new subaru(02-07 WRX/rs). So now my plight is if I want to continue doing mods to the brighton or just save some green and buy some crazy stuff for a new car. Or do I just stick with the brighton and use that money to turn to brighton crazier then ever. Thinking ez30r swap maybe? In all honesty I would wind up swapping th wrx anyway.

Basically is it worth it? Also the car would be my DD and also used for rallyX.

Fix up what you got, at least you won't have a loan on it. Remember, car loans can screw you out of your disposable income for at least 5 years. Fix this one, it will cost less than a new car and loan will.

I should have noted that I there wouldn't be a loan. Does that change anyones opinions.

If you don't/won't have a loan on the new car then go for it. Not worth it pouring dough into the older car unless you have specific master plans for it...

if you want a nice looking car, get the new one. If you want a fast car the doesn't matter, keep the old one. I, personally, prefer cars that are beat up and fast. That way when i hit barriers due to poor driving skils, I don't care.
