    Well, some of the old-school guys want EJ22e power and reliability in their lifted EA subarus. but don't want to do any wiring. so.......in the last 6 months, these 2 beasts have come about:

    this one, which has an entire custom intake manifold:


    and the other, which is a cast adapter plate that bolts on where the coil pack was, and then you drill/mill a hole out of the manifold under that, and block off the hole where the throttle body was.

    this one will require a hole in the hood, even with a 3" body lift (3" block between engine crossmember and frame rail).

    chux, we actally milled out the center on an EJ intake @ the shop, had thoughts of first welding in a cast alum. 4bbl spacer as the mounting flange, then Phil decided to chop off the runners about 3/4in up from the mounting flange and was gonna use 2 weber downdrafts ala aircooled vw style seeing as the linkage and stuff only would need minor modification.
