So I bought a carbon fiber hood because my stock one got backed into. So I got the seibon oem carbon fiber hood for 04-05 sti which is what I have...so I get it and it has not rubber sealers at the front of the hood or the intercooler duct. So I assume I have to transfer all that stuff, but when I go to put the latch on the holes they drilled are to wide! And it does say in the description on the website use hood pins but why would it have drilled and threaded holes for the latch? I dont know, but I am just wondering if anyone has bought one of these before and installed it and if their is anything else i need? Or any tips or tricks?

    Thanks Jake

The best carbon fiber hood I have ever seen was still a POS. I put a VIS hood on a Honda Accord, and for 500 bucks you would have thought it would fit. Do yourself a favor and put in the hood pins. You do not want to see what happens when the latch pulls out of the hood when you are driving.

I have never had any issues like that with CF hoods. I would call the manufacture or who you bought it from for advise. Don't do something that would impact your ability to return the product.

Brian (snwbrd94) had a CF hood on his hatch and it didn't hold up very well. Same company.

I've got the Seibon on my STi, no complaints other than I don't like the looks (came with the car) looking to get rid of mine for a stock WRB one ASAP.
