A single, good, high flow cat vs. no cat will not make much of a difference. Your car won't smell as bad with the 1 cat as without any cats. If you do get a cat get a high flow replacement for the 3rd cat as that will have the smallest effect on power.

I am buying tbe in the near future. I am going to get the single high flow cat. IMO it will help keep the car a little quieter and not so smelly. Just my .02

pretty much the only reason in my opinion to keep a cat is so that you don't get stuck in SM for autocross. the extra cost for a high flow cat isn't worth it otherwise.

I would never pay extra money for less performance. If volume and smell are issues then get a cat. This is my second car with modded exhaust and both cars were catless and I would do it again also.

I do not understand why people think it stinks. Been running without for little while now and seems fine to me. Does not smell that bad to me... well then again I think I might even like it and that probably make me a just a little strange I guess.

i agree on the smell. no cats, like the smell, have no issues. I don't carry passengers too often, but when I do they have not complained about the smell.

I'm pretty sure he's check it, heck he sold me his catted dp....

Even with my catted dp in I still get a little smell. personally I'm happy with it, I wouldn't change a thing.

I have a cat-less car, and my bro has a "race-cat" in his. The diff in power is next to nothing. 5hp at the crank at tops! High flow race cats are what it's called for a reason! They are high flow!

If you can't handle the smell, can your wallet handle the $200-300 diff for a race cat setup?

Thats what I was getting at. Plus most tbe come with high flow cats. Thats all. Also I was not saying that cats make the same power but its a minimal difference.

Cobb thinks that a single high flow cat will have minimal effect as well. On just about any street car there will not be a noticable difference in performance.
