okay i installed my turboback exhaust a few weeks ago and about a week or so ago i got a CEL. i ran the a dignostic scan and got a P0420 code emissions code. i figured it was my new exhaust messing with the O2 sensor. i know all the gaskets are new and all the bolts are where they need to be(tightened-wise) even when back through the other day and checked everything again. cleared the code and came back on again.......

so question is HOW CAN I GET THIS CEL TO STOP COMING ON????

i seen a O2 sensor spacer online, is it that easy? or is there a cheaper way or easier way? im fine with getting this but wanted to know someone elses opinion.

does this happen with all aftermarket TBE exhaust?

stock O2 sensor if that matters.....

    thanks in advance.

That CEL is from you deleting the rear cat.

My advice would be that you get a tune.

    /\/\/\/\ What he said.

The mechanical CEL fix works great but you really need to get a tune as well.

That will eliminate one problem. There are still several other problems - much more severe than a light on the dash.

Well, those problems do cause a light on the dash.

Eventually it turns into a pretty flashing one. Of course, the rest of the symptoms aren't quite as fun...

It would make the OPs car live up to it's screen name in more than one way.

Doing the mechanical CEL fix doesn't really solve anything. Right now just think of the CEL as "Caution:Engine Needs Tune"
