CEL code for P1446 (Fuel Tank Sensor Control Valve Circuit Low) thats the only thing i could really find for it. i have know idea how to fix that.
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/search.php?searchid=7254149 Interesting info. It appears its not a code for 02's WTF
I just recently took an sti ecu off a 03 wrx and put it on to mine...is that a bad thing? When the ecu was in the 03, the cel didn't come on.
wait, is your car a stock WRX running an STi ecu? maybe a bit more explanation might shed some light.
There you go, the ecu didnt see the sensor. There is a thread in that link that has a fix. STI ecu from an 03? No stis in the US for MY03
You couldn't use a STI ecu in a 2.0l WRX. The STi ecu has 5 plugs and the 2.0l wrx has 4. I smell a good story here, do tell.
Is that also the case with the ecu out of an ej207 ? On a side note, I just put a Viper ecu in my car to turn on the other 6 cylinders in the car.
damn, you totally stole my idea, **** it im taking one from a veyron then, i need some more turbos and cylinders and while im at it can i get fries with that?:yumyum:
well, we solved the problem, since the ECU he's using doesn't exist (03 STi) there's his problem. It's a GHOST ECU.
Well other than bikerboy I'll try to help... Well I would think you could just turn the sensor off with open ecu, and it'll be gone. I just checked it appears you could actually turn it off with enginuity.
i finallly figure it out...the 03 wrx have a in tank fuel sensor that the 02 wrx doesn't have. thats why my cel is on and that code doens't exist in the 02 wrx.
hey guys, he is a friend of mine and his WRX isn't stock. it's got full header back with some things here and there. Fuji has been helping him mod his car here and there and it's pretty well put together. The ecu came from a manager he worked with who claimed it was a chipped STi ecu, his manager totaled his WRX so my friend picked up the so call ecu off the totaled WRX to see if it'll make a difference. I didnt hear anything about him getting it until it was already in his hands and installed i guess....not sure if fuji knew either but then again, fuji and I are not experts in ecu so we probably would've tried to see if it fit too without researching. so there you guys go, thats the story behind the ecu. no more smartass comments.
hm, someone should try to pull the rom off that ecu and see what it is... if he's in stp...I can do it.
