You couldn't use a STI ecu in a 2.0l WRX. The STi ecu has 5 plugs and the 2.0l wrx has 4. I smell a good story here, do tell.

Is that also the case with the ecu out of an ej207 ?

On a side note, I just put a Viper ecu in my car to turn on the other 6 cylinders in the car. :p

well, we solved the problem, since the ECU he's using doesn't exist (03 STi) there's his problem. It's a GHOST ECU.

My comment was directed at USDM models. The 207 will work but as you know it is AVCS capiable.

Well other than bikerboy I'll try to help...

Well I would think you could just turn the sensor off with open ecu, and it'll be gone.

I just checked it appears you could actually turn it off with enginuity.

i finallly figure it out...the 03 wrx have a in tank fuel sensor that the 02 wrx doesn't have. thats why my cel is on and that code doens't exist in the 02 wrx.

    hey guys,

he is a friend of mine and his WRX isn't stock. it's got full header back with some things here and there. Fuji has been helping him mod his car here and there and it's pretty well put together. The ecu came from a manager he worked with who claimed it was a chipped STi ecu, his manager totaled his WRX so my friend picked up the so call ecu off the totaled WRX to see if it'll make a difference. I didnt hear anything about him getting it until it was already in his hands and installed i guess....not sure if fuji knew either but then again, fuji and I are not experts in ecu so we probably would've tried to see if it fit too without researching.

so there you guys go, thats the story behind the ecu. no more smartass comments.
