Hey guys, I know i've seen some past posts with cell phone stuff but don't really remember who's who!

So i'm dropping Nextel and am looking for a new provider to better suit my needs. Would like to know who here can hook me up with a plan that would include; unlimited text messages, around a thousand or so anytime minutes, and some good deals on phones and ins. Willing to sign a 2 yr. contract now, and am aiming for the 40 to 50 a month range. Please let me know asap! And also, anyone have any comments on the razor or slvr phones, because these are on my list of maybe's. Thanks--Josh

I have midwest wireless and I'm VERY happy with them. 1200 anytime minutes, 7-state midwest area no roaming, unlimited TXT is available, and I have a great phone.

Razar is an alright phone, just don't drop it, the reception gets crappy after a drop or two from my experience.

My girlfriend has the SLVR (the pink one too!) and its a great little phone, just the camera on it sucks, but that's par with most motorola phones.

I have the Nokia 6265i and I LOVE it. 2-megapixel camera in it, with a big screen. Durable little fart, too.

In my Subaru... ALL THE TIME!
1000 minute plan will run ya at least $49.99... Expect to pay another $10-$15 on unlimited text...

    T-Mobile:
    $49.99 1000 min & Unl N/W (9 pm)
$14.99 Unl Messaging (text, pict, video)

    Sprint:
    $59.99 900 min & Unl N/W (9 pm) & Mobile to Mobile
    $14.99 Unl Text Only

    Cingular:
    $59.99 900 min & Unl N/W (9 pm) & Mobile to Mobile
    $19.99 3000 Text Messages

    Verizon:
    $59.99 900 min & Unl N/W (9 pm) & Mobile to Mobile
$15 Unl "In" Messaging with 1000 additional Messages

All carriers have the RAZR available, I would probably explore some other options if you are hard on the phone, but overall the RAZR has a lot of features and you can find them at very little cost now...

Thanks for the info fellas. I think i'm going to go with cingular, but now I'm concerned about my phone choice. I've had Nextel Motorola phones for the last five years or so. Drop,thow,slam,etc.,etc. They are nearly indestructable. I know the RAZR isn't as tough, but i also intend to get insurance(I know ins. ) but I usually use it enough that it pays for itself. And I believe I'm actually going with the little brother the KRAZR, which is smaller.

eeek, RAZR. I'm not even very hard on my phones and I'm on my second RAZR in 4 months. Verizon was pretty good about getting me a replacement though.
