here is a dumb question : i try to change my tranny fluid, but i dont know where to put in the fluid, is it throught the hole that where the level gauge is? i had someone do it for me last time, but i totally forget..!!
is there any certain step to do to fill in the uncle scottail's ? nah!!!i dont want my tranny blowing up lol
how many times have you changed the tranny fluid since you bought it? I had changed it @ 85k and it worked just fine when i traded it in at ~92k.
i changed once only and its at 94k , because it grinded and hard to shift into 1st and 2nd gear , so i changed it. at that time, i was lacking of knowledge , so i just picked up those fluid from autozone lol and it has 116k on the car now..
I think I have my stock shifter if you want to buy it from me or trade it for your short throw. It will make shifting 10 times easier at least. The shifter in your car is approxiamately half the length of a stock one which makes it require a lot more force to move it due to the lack of leverage. fyi, your short throw in it now is an sti short throw that has been manually shortened and rethreaded. you can't find a shorter shifter out there.
^ HAHA YEA, im getting use to it now...its piece of cake for me to shift now ..hahah but not to my friends, they always have a hard time shifting in ..lol thats funny tho ...so its even shorter than Sti short shift?
Well it's not going to take all 4 quarts, so I added the redline and the syncromesh first and topped it off with the castrol.
Like the others said, put in the Redline and the Synchromesh first then top off with the Hypoy C. It'll take about 3.5 qts, put in the first 3 and then put in about 1/3 of the 4th bottle, check the fluid level and go from there. If you overfill, it'll start blowing oil out the transmission seals and then you'll have a full time leak on your hands.
