So i had my check engine light with flashing cruise light come on twice this week so far. both times its just after start up. Turn car on >turn lights on> put in gear, start to drive away and light(s) come on. the weather has been warm both times. Put in 92+ octane. When i check the code(s) nothing shows up.... car seems to be driving fine after they come on.

How are you checking codes and nothing is coming up? What are you using to check them with?

Non Subaru code checkers may not be able to pull memory. If you are willing to pay the Subaru Boys they can see what the codes were. All newer models have the cruise light go on when the CEL comes on. Gets people into the dealership quicker to get it checked out. My guess if its going on and off may be a loose gas cap or leaky cap

My 6 cylinder makes 1250 lb/ft of torque.
One other alternative would be to check out Curry's thread for a PLX Kiwi for sale and Dash Command if you have an android phone. You can pull codes with that and clear the CEL.

My code reader never has a problem pulling codes. Will if you wasn't to try it swing by. It has worked on my 09, my sisters bugeye, and my cousins wagon.
