I'm not sure that there is much worth while "chip"s or other programs available. maybe perfect power 6 but I think that is more for turbo'd once upon a time na cars. if you can get a map for your application from openecu I can flash it for you but I don't know how much it would do

Ooh, yes, keep us posted. Since the OpenECU team seem can't seem to get it together for the older ECUs, that leaves us with an I-Speed reflash or a PP6. Since I already know of one local running an I-Speed ECU, I'm tempted to try the PP6 so we can compare and contrast. But not until well after the suspension's finished.

They could easily do it if they wanted. You need to remember that the whole project was started by a few guys who wanted a cheap solution for flashing their '02+ WRXs.

Since it is of no real benefit to them, it is on the back burner.

An yet they've got support for the Evo crowd, which has very little to do with WRXs either. I bought a Tactrix cable 18+ months ago after hearing from Colby that JECS ECU support was almost done. There's a 15 page thread (n00b settings) about it on the OpenECU forum that hasn't even been acknowledged by any of the developers in months. It's kind of discouraging.

i went over 130 in my mazdaspeed protege... it only had a few more ponies. besides, eventually i want to mod it to where it can go fast, thought that ecu reflash might be the place to start...
