cleaning?

    What can i use to clean a perrin filter and then oil it? I have KN cleaning stuff. OR Do i need to break down and buy perrin brand?

    Isn't the Perrin filter like a foam product? If its the metal filter like the K&N or SPT then Yes, you can use the K&N recharge kit...

    haha, yeah...I wouldn't use the K&N oil on a foam filter media! I would think that a foam filter would be oil-less like a paper filter...but I don't know much about the Perrin set-up, so I would go with their kit!

    ^^ yeah it is, i would go with the Perrin cleaning kit, just my .02

    I have the amsoil cleaning stuff that is made for the foam filters. let me know if you are interested in going that route. Also, I would probably use the k&n stuff if you already have it. I used the k&n stuff on my amsoil foam filter.

    I'd just get a new filter. And not a Perrin one. I've seen two Perrin filters that are just nasty.

    i've used K&N cleaning kit on my perrin foam filter and it worked good
    then i eventually got a K&N filter.

    the foam just got nasty...quick too

    Any recomandations for a different brand of filter? Oh, it has fit the perrin size pipe (intake).
