My car is a 07 Outback XT 5 speed with 37k miles. I installed the AP stage 1 onto my car a couple of weeks ago but I want to uninstall it while I take it to the dealer on Thursday. But when I try, it says that the AP is not installed in this ECU. It also gives me the same message when I try to change maps. I can data log, monitor settings, and able to connect to the ECU with any other settings besides those two. I'm taking my car in for possible warranty work. The drive train makes a whine when coasting, and gets louder as I step on the gas. Its dead quite when stopped or below 35 mph. There is also a light chirp like a belt is loose. Hopefully Subaru will cover it. I'm also sure they will not check the ECU since its a drive train problem but who knows.
I re installed my HKS BOV and changed a vacuum hose and the car is boosting at 15 lbs again. Not sure if it was the BOV or the vacuum hose. There is a vacuum hose right behind the alternator with a little white plastic round pill. I attached my boost gauge line there. Last night I completely removed that white pill and attached a solid one piece hose to the T fitting. Now the vacuum reads at 24 and boost all the way to 15lbs. But AP reads at 11. Boost is constant just as the maps states on cobbs site. Not sure if the car is faster now or its just a smooth pull. Can some one help me read this log to see if its bad or good. Its on a third gear pull. View attachment 24575
Sounds like it didn't install properly the first time. Did you have the test connectors plugged in when you installed it? When you plug the AP in now, do you have an "install" option in the main menu? It's pretty hard to read your datalog too. Do you have a .csv version? It looks like you shifted also. Is that right? All I can see is that it's knocking from 5k up at WOT after the shift (and once before around ~6k during the first WOT section). With a cleaner file format it would be easier to line up the columns and rows.
How do I load that type of format? It installs and un installs fine now. Everything was plugged correctly. Something went wrong during the first install.
