for those of you with adjustabel coilovers/ or those looking into getting them. i have learned something very simple and effective.

today i riased my car from -4" from stock to -2" from stock in prep for some bumpy/nasty hilly duluth roads.

anyway i am sure you all now what your shocks/springs look like after you have driven them for half a year. they are all nasty from dirt/gravel/road goo/road kill/ect.... all this gunk on the coilever sleeves makes it a pain to adjust. even w/ the little spanners.

so previously i have tried things like brass wire brushes, cans of WD40, pipe wrenches. so today when i got to it used an old toothbrush! it works perfect. in adition to some wd40 on the perches. i could spin them up, by hand effortlessly.

the tooth brush seems to have the correct size and playability bristles to clean out everything between the threads. there is one problem, make sure your toothbrush is strong and not flexible. mine had some flew points, and broke into 3 pieces.

in the end this is by far the best tool to prep coilovers to be adjusted fro ride height. hope this helps!

To be like you I would have to decrease the performance of my engine by 70hp, smack various exterior panels with a hammer, then throw stock wheels and RE92s on my car and paint them some gay color like gunmetal. I'll pass on trying to be like you.
