http://timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/more_sport/article2461339.ece A great rally driver...rest in peace Colin. I'll miss seeing you race.
+1 He had laughed in Death's face for a long time. It'll be a tragedy to all in the Rally world for a long time. :emo:
I didnt believe it when i saw it on NASIOC, until i read it on five different websites. May Colin, his Son and the 2 other passengers RIP
That'll put a wrench in next years x-games I'll admit he was a good driver, but I like Burns better. But still... it sucks he had to die so soon.
The last few years have been tragic indeed for the sport... Mark Lovell, Roger Freeman, Possum Bourne, Michael Park, Richard Burns and now Colin McRae. Godspeed Colin, thanks for the memories. My thoughts and prayers are with the McRae family
BBC still hasn't called it on their site so I'm holding out just a small glimmer of hope that he wasn't aboard that rotor, but if he weren't then he'd probably have said something already. Not looking forward to the news when I wake up. The entire rally world will be in mourning The sick thing is I just bought DiRT today for PS3, in fact about 20 minutes after the reported crash happened. It feels creepy to be seeing his name in the game now.
:sad panda: Watching him and Pastrana compete in teh X-games was a hoot. They made it such a fun event to watch since it's kind of a cheesy excuse for a rally.
I don't think it's necessarily sick. I acutally picked up the game today because I was still going to buy it...just now feel like it's a small tribute to him or something as well.
What's real spooky is that the chief of the Subaru Rally team walked away from a helicopter crash the day after Colin died... http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/essex/6997784.stm
