Confused on suspension

    I have been researching info on suspension for my WRX WGN. I am totally confused. Any info on what would fit an 02 wrx wagon? All information welcomed. Links too.

    I tried reading the thread from NASIOC before, but I got more confused. Especially after reading the Wgn part (" Using sedan springs on a wagon often results in a saggy rear end. Prodrive WRX springs are a notable exception. Wagon specific versions are available from a few manufacturers. ")

    Okay? So what springs can I use and NOT have a saggy rear? Do I have to used aftermarket WGN ONLY springs, or can I just use STI nonJDM pinks and not get the sag since it has a higher spring rate that stock WGNs? And if I decide to go with STI springs, struts and tophat, what will be the total length lowered? (PICS of WGNs using PINK nonJDM pinks anyone?)

    I tried looking through the NASIOC wagons gallery to get an idea, but some of the pics are soo old its hard to find info on the car.

    So, you're saying you want someone to tell you the exact right spring for your application, right?

    What do you want to do with this car? Auto-X it? Drag it? Road Course it? Snag some fly honeys in your pimp low-rider?

    Until you tell me what you want to do, I'm going to tell you to put Tein S-Techs on your car.

    As with any mods that you want to plan, you need to have a goal in mind. Just doing it for the sake of doing it is the wrong approach, and leads you to spending more time and money than you should down the road.

    I want it to handle better than stock. I will not be doing autox, drag or anything. Just my DD, but when I want to take a turn or two I just want to be able to do that.

    My question is, what will fit my 02 wrx wagon? (without the sag)

    Prodrive and RCE are some good options for that. You can also look into JDM Pinks (I think v6 are the ones you are looking for. Either v6 or v7). Check out the Pink Springs. 2nd from the bottom. RST-2110

    While you're doing springs pick up a set of AGX GR-2s. They are a good strut that's a bit stiffer than the stock ones and they won't be as prone to damage with a lower spring as the stock ones are.

    If you really want a nice ride throw the Group N tophats (available at your Minnetonka Subaru) on top. This is a great streetable ride.

    Avoid Tein S-Techs. They are only for looks, decrease ride quality, and will destroy your stock struts in short order.

    Or check out Swift springs. If you can't get your hands on a set of Prodrives, look into "Mach V's" from www.fastwrx.com. They were made to be just like the Prodrives, only with a smaller drop.

    You might as well look into the USDM STI Wagon Pinks, too.

    I don't have the link, but somewhere on NASIOC there is a recent thread where the guy talks about his Wagon Pinks/Tokico D-Spec setup vs his Koni/other spring setup. Search for the D-Specs and Pinks and you should find it.
