Damn, I really need a huge raise so I can pick up a summer car. I wouldn't mind this as my DD / Summer car. http://jalopnik.com/5980795/scion-fr+s-convertible-this-is-it
almost completely off topic, but hiding this video in here so we can wtlw someone later... imagine the derpy gymkhana video opportunities if it were a convertible.
If it is anything like the Z, it gained 400+ lbs. And if it is anything like the similarly priced 2005 350z, expect about a 5000 dollar or more premium on top of the coupe price.
Perfect fit, I had forgotten about this video^. Made me laugh even more given the current discussions on here.
http://jalopnik.com/the-scion-fr-s-convertible-this-is-it-216318057 The Scion FR-S Convertible: This Is It TOYOBARU We've known for some time that Toyota has been working on a roofless version of the sportscar we know as the Scion FR-S. Today, we know what it will look like. Say hello to the FR-S convertible, which was spotted in Cape Town, South Africa. Some intrepid enthusiast snapped some photos, which were then sent to the FT86 Club forums and South Africa'sCarmag. As we've said here many times before, and as I too can personally attest, the Toyobaru twins are a hell of a lot of fun to drive. Getting sideways in that thing with the top down on a sunny day is definitely on my to-do list this year. The actual debut will happen next month at the Geneva Auto Show. Let us know what you think. Will the FR-S be better without a roof?
I would take one for a summer car. It would be a great platform to start with. Maybe my boss will give me a huge raise this year (like 3x what I currently make).
