So currently i have a small coolant leak on the turbo mid section where the coolant and oil run. The problem is who ever had the turbo before me knicked up the sealing surface and i cant get the crush washer to seal it. Perhaps im just cranking down to hard on the crush washer idk for sure but there is a small indent in the cast on the sealing surface for the crush washer and i cant get it to stop leaking. Any recommendations for fixing the issue?
Almost every aftermarket turbo in existance is oil cool only. Have consulted several people that say shouldn't be a issue
Some people say no coolant lines r bad but I dont see how it can be as it will get to a point where the turbo is making the coolant hotter then the radiator can cool. There for by keeping the coolant out of the turbo it will let you keep ur coolant cooler so ur blocks cooler so your oils cooler. My thinking correct??
Ended up cleaning up the mark a little and using a aluminum/rubber crush washer it seems to be holding.
