about 3 - 4 months ago was in a someone small town trying to find a friends house... never been to her new house before, and none of the houses had clear numbers on them.. so of course I had to do a few stop and go's. it's about 12 or so.... and the inevedable happens. I get pulled over right in front of her house. the cop starts off by asking me if I knew why he stopped me.. I politly explained the situation. he then points out my after market exhaust, my wing on the car, and my "aftermarket hood scoop".... I pointed out that all in fact come stock on the car, including the upgraded SPT exhaust tip. which he lets all go.... I more then assume he was seeing if I was a drunk or something. but I forgot my insuerence card at home after cleaning out the car. so I get a no proof ticket.... easy enough to fix... I drive my 45 min. home make copies of everything and send it off in the mail. 2 days ago I get a letter from the state saying "your license will be revoked in 9 days have a nice day" I call the county, they say, oh you have to call the state.... see what they have to say. I wait 40 minutes on hold... explain my situation to the state.. state says "simple, just take your ticket and your insurence card.. and get a reciept from the county... everything goes away" fair enough... call the county back, "I'm sorry you must have gotten someone new... i've never heard of that.... we don't give reciepts here... call the state back, you have to do what they say" 40 minute hold time explain to new more well trained person at the state, same result "I've never heard of the county not willing to give anyone a reciept.... you need a recipt in order to clear this up" call back the county .. "I will not give you a reciept, we have closed your case... you need to do what the state tells you to do" I kindly explain in a very furious state of mind what the state requires... and what the county I am speaking with needs to do. she pulls my file.... and I wait.... and then goes to say "yes i'm sorry we sent this off to the state, you need to contact the state" "so we both agree I need to speak with the state" "yes" "and the state requires I get a reciept in order to reinstate my licence" "we don't give reciepts" "your telling me to talk to the state, do what the state tells me to do, and your refusing to do what the state requires me to do" "we don't give reciepts" attourny general phone call time. -=end rant=-
for **** sake, that kind of thing is so hard to deal with. Couldn't you have just gone to court on the court date stated on your ticket, show your proof, and walk out? I know I've done that many a times before.

I got angry just reading about this. I play this game all the time in my job. Stupid ****heads that 'think' they know what they are doing and are too lazy to find out for sure. Then, when they are called out they get defensive and stall, knowing full well you can't do **** without their help. This is the #1 reason I can think of that I work so hard to get promoted. With rank comes the ability to bypass the idiots and get **** done.
Fixed. No need to put a time limit on my anger since it is perpetual. Some days I'm just quieter than others. I'm always angry. Off to class. Chinese History makes me sport wood.
if I would have known they never recieved my mail I would have gone to court... I've done it before in dakota county.. just mail in your crap and they never bug you again. what really makes me furious... and I mean shaking furious.. is the constant "yea, we don't do that here" 's that they keep giving me. "so you don't inform people that you never recieved my documents, and that I missed my court date because of it" "we don't do that" "so you would rather just put a warrent out and arrest someone, then giving them the courtacy of the following through on what the officer told them to do?" "we dont offer second chances" in reality what the county is saying is "Your in my hood now cowboy, and we're running things here.... my baseball bat says you got a tail light out" the state also told me to call them back and have a county attourny re-open the case if they keep telling me the case is closed.... answer - "we don't have county attournys here, only judges... and they arn't in" this can't be legal.........
I had a deal that was similar back in the day. I had a checkbook stolen and I have to get a affidavite of forgery for each check that was forged. To get it, I needed a copy of the check, then I could go and get it noterized and send it back. The last check, they wouldn't send me a couple of it. Which means no noterizing, which means that I can't get it taken care of. They state told me that they were pulling my dl and putting out a warrant for my arrest unless I took care of this check ($1k check). I told them fine, cuz if they can't send me a copy of the forged check, there is nothing I can do. i would continue to drive my car, and if I got arrested i would sue everyone involved in the whole circle of idiots that I had to deal with. 10 years later, I still have not received a couple of the check, but i have renewed my dl a couple of times now. hours later... the state attourny guy put me in touch with the county attourny... so now i'm being passed all over hell.... but at least everyone I talk to has the same agreement that "I can't believe they are actualyl telling you this"
well atleast all the higher ups realize how retarded the whole ordeal is, should work out...eventually
