So.... did this happen because i went cheap and got the Megan Racing DP?
Im trying to decide which DP i want to go with now. Ive been thinking of a V3 Invidia but im not sure, anyone have any other input on choices? Im looking to spend <$300 if possible.

you dont have to have stainless wire to weld stainless, it wont look quite right, but for this application it will work fine.

I was more concerned about trying to use flux-core wire since i dont have any gas yet.
Im still gaining confidence in my welding skills so thats why i ask.
I suppose unless i melt a hole it cant get worse, and cosmetics are of little concern. Ill just run a line or two on it and see what it looks like. Thanks

But i am still looking to change DP's in the near future, any input on which divorced to go with?

I purchased my DP from eBay while they still where selling. Mine is the x3racing DP. It's very thin....kinda scary..but....if it cracks, just reweld. I didn't wanna go BIG $$$ for DP because it's AFTER the turbo....so no worries. It's what's BEFORE the turbo that I worry about. I may need to buy a NEW uppipe gasket from the dealer when this one blows out... hahaha
