    where is rock auto again? by the way, any brand crank sensor would work? like the one i mentioned above?

    rock auto is in wisc. or mich. cant remember, but u can log onto rockauto.com

    would any local stores have this crank sensor besides the dealer, napa or checkers?

    maybe.. call around, if most places dont have them, they will order them, but then u may as well order from rock.

    correct me if i'm wrong guys. i just called up checker auto part and they had it in stock. would that crank sensor work and be the same as an oem from the dealer?

    Besides a CEL, what are the symptoms of a Crank or Camshaft position sensor going bad?

    hard/long cranking/starts or no start at all.

    Would it cause the car to completely cut throttle and/or die under hard acceleration?

    No signal from the crank position sensor would mean no spark at all.
