So early this morning, say 1 55 AM, after i got off work (yep i had to work new years, delivering pizza) Me was driving around lake of the isles and i was on dean parkway about to left onto cedar lake parkway.. going 15 MPH maybe approaching the stop sign and the slight left turn i was attempting.
This attempt was to no avail. nice big black ice patch equals my car slam into curb pretty hard. Also looks like a bunch of tire tracks leading right into the curb so it seems others experienced the same thing. dammit! my wheel is recessed into wheel well now. my alignment is complete dog****. it was my 4th day on the job after not working for awhile or at least not having any money i guess i had a crappy job for a few weeks. If anyone can help me somehow, like tell me what parts are most likely damaged ( I imagine my control arm is not in the best shape) the body was already damaged there and i have a pontiac rim on the front right, it looks ridiculous. So i roll with 3 RE92's and one eagle something or other.. what a stupid configuration. especially in the winter. Sooo my car be lowered too i imagine that really dosent help either. Please kill me. Thank you. :ugh: :( :ugh: :( :yumyum:

and exhaust. Its an auto unfortunately I hope to swap to STi and manual in a few years.

well I wasnt saying it would be all that.. but you asked what COULD be bent...

we just had a honda in my shop and the kid avoided another car hit a curb at about '40' and the whole subfarme was twisted,
spot welds popped too.. but couldnt find anything esle bent.. but you wouldnt till you replaced the sub-frame and then saw where everything sat...

    can you say $$$$$$$$$$$$$$

but yours may be VERY simple...

thanks Benny... ha ha... We get pretty used to customers who totally frig up their cars then get abusive at us when we tell them whats wrong and how much it will cost them... if they are real rude, we smile and say well we didnt drive it till it was ruined.. we arent that stupid.... ha ha ha...

yes once again bashing a vendor that supports our club, and discounts parts for us..... you will get no sympathy from me, in fact, i laugh at your misfortune for assuming such BS. in fact i hope your center diff explodes from running mismatched tires/rims, nice driving skills.

Apparently you have a serious hard on for curbs...

Anyway, you'll want to get that Pontiac wheel off your car ASAP. Lord only knows what that's doing to your wheel bearings, as I'll bet that the offsets aren't even close. Do the tires even match sizewise? Have you measured the circumference to make sure they're all within a 1/4 inch of each other? If not, you can start thinking about the joys of replacing a center diff, and a rear diff if you've got an LSD unit in the rear and the wheel/tire is mounted back there. Also, I realize you're proud of your car, but what difference does it make telling Nathan about the "mirror tint, custom intake and exhaust"? Those have nothing to do with the suspension of the car or what may be wrong with it, the strut tower brace isn't going to help much either. You may want to find out what kind of springs you're running and see if you did damage it if you can get just one instead of having to buy a full set.

Once again, you're asking all of us what may or may not be broken without any of us actually seeing the car. Wheel, hub, knuckle, bearing, axle, strut, strut top, tie rods and the control arm are the major assemblies in there, it could be any/all of them. No, this will not be a 300 dollar fix, and you might have even bent the frame.

Do me and Erik and Brian at Minnetonka a favor, don't bother calling for parts. You've already said you don't want to deal with us, consider the feeling reciprocated.

Oh, look who's back. After reviewing previous statements by you, I think I've figured out what the problem is. It isn't your car, it's your inability to drive it. Either that or you have some sort of fetish for kissing curbs with your wheels. Now, that you've decided to slap on whatever wheel and tire that fits the car, are you willing to take responsibility for your center diff going out? Or are you going to take it to a dealership and blame them for it, along with the brakes and headlamps that are also your responsibility?

Did they send you your trophy yet? Because you are a real winner in my book. Don't pay your insurance. Don't take care of your wear and tear items like brakes...which are SAFETY items. Can't seem to keep your car on the road. What the hell are you even doing driving a car in public?!

So now this guy is worried that he broke a bunch of expensive parts and now he has to pay 20% more for them. PWND!

Oh, one last thing...I'm not sure where you got this whole "inside job" thing, but it wasn't one of our employees. Could it have been the security company? Sure, but they aren't Morries employees, they're employees of whatever security company we use. We see nicer cars with better toys, I think if any of the guys were going to take something out of a car, they could do a lot better. Not worth losing a job over a sub/amp/headunit/whatever in my opinion, and I know most of the guys in back have families to support, so they're not going to risk that over a stereo anyway.

And actually, that 20% figure isn't quite accurate. For a lot of the parts that you guys buy, 20% off list works out to more like 30-50% off retail because of the pricing system. Double pwnage.

Looks like the second time you've curbed your car and caused a lot of damage. I'd stop blaming the car or the road conditions and start looking at your driving.

    ...and no insurance? Nice.

So now RE92's are being blamed for not only sucking as a performance tire, but sucking as an all season tire.

my stock rims have curb rash from making a left about 100 feet from my house which i blame myself... for trying to stick out one more winter with my 92s to save up for summer tires. they were pretty burned up and i really did take the turn slow. such a difference winter tires make (new helps too!).

    love the demotivator!

Here's a quote for a judge a i heard last year overhearing someone else's trial:

"If you don't know if you had insurance or not, 99% chance is you don't have it."

See if you can part it out and get something more your speed:

good thing you didn't hit someone else driving around uninsured, you'd be proper screwed then. Hitting 2 curbs in one year at your age just says that you probably drive like a jacka$$ around corners and are probably a threat to parked cars as well.

I can slide my car on Hakka RSI's on black ice. What's your point? It's not the tires, it's the driver.

Probably just doesn't have a leg to stand on here and he knows it. Didn't pay insurance, slammed the car into another curb....srsly, any further whining about the matter will only polarize the situation further.
