my mom has a 2002 silver legacy GT, auto-matic with less then 20k on the engine...
the car is smoke free, serviced ritualistically.. and babied.
there was a scratch in the bumper when a trashcan fell against the car, but has been retouched.. and re-painted...

how much "if" she was to sell the car.. would a good private party value be on this car..

would kellys blue book be accurate, or would the car be worth more?

    whats your best guess?
car isn't for sale, just curious.. trying to get her into the new legacy...

KBB is sometimes not accurate. I would reccomend doing a sreach on carsoup.com or any other search engines for used cars and see what the market value is by seeing what other people are selling there's for.

    There. Or here. Sometimes both.
Check NADA and Edmunds as well. Also, shop around for similar cars and see whatthey are going for.

NADA is what the dealership will base your trade-in value on. They actually don't list private party value, only trade-in and retail. average the two and you should be in the proverbial ballpark.
