On my 01 2.5RS My A/C went out. So im thinking that im just gonna take the whole system out. Has anyone done this before? What are some factors i need to think about... Like new belt length and any major mods to do?

The AC is on it's own belt, so that's not an issue. You can just take that whole belt off.

just be careful when you drain the system. to do it properly you need special equipment other wise it will spray freon everywhere.

I have removed the whole thing. It isn't very difficult. If you want the weight savings, you can remove the AC compressor and all the tubing and condenser.

It's R134a, I don't think you'll have to worry about the freon content.

Yeah, I'm sure Brian or Ben could do it for you just fine. Not complicated at all. Just don't let Erik do it, he likes to use a hacksaw to bleed A/C systems.

And stain your r00fs with the freon.
