It happened to me with the Rotas on my previous 3kGT VR4, I had the rims for probably 2 months and then hit a curb ever so slightly in a parking ramp while coming out. I thought the curb had ended.... and nope it didn't :(

Anyway sorry to hear that man.

yeah.. I wouldnt be to torn up except that it literally cracked off the coating in about an inch square on one of the spokes where it meets the rim lip... my rims are regularly driven on gravel roads and the tires dont cover the lips so they are pretty trashed... but man this is frickin huge.. I havent taken pics yet cause I am too pissed too...

I know the feeling. I had new rubber put on my rotas Saturday and on my way home I hit a bottomless pothole. I bent the heck out of the wheel and had to change a flat in the rain. My brand new rubber will stay that way until my replacement wheel is shipped. I only had ten miles on them and now they sit useless in the garage.

i had some MAJOR burbage last fall. i pulled up to a VERY high curb, with some nice jagged edges. put about 3 1"+ gouges in my wheel. GRRR......

you should fix the curbage though, fill it in with some body filler / jbweld, and paint them.
