any tricks to removing stock wrx front endlinks? I don't know why they aren't just a normal nut/bolt. o and if someone has done kartboy front links where did you but the washers?
Not positve but I think I've read about having to stick an allen wrench in the end as you turn. Maybe?:dunno:
Yeah, for the stock front's, you'll need to shove an allen wrench in the end, and then loosen the nut. You'll need an open ended wrench/socket for this. On the Kartboy fronts, make sure you insert a washer on both sides, outside of the rubber grommet, right inside of your nut. Hope that's clear, I can't think of a better way to explain it!
If they are like the STi you can get a vice grip on it on one side of the bar and then loosen the nut.
My WRX ones where individual on each side. IE; each bolt on the side of the endlink, along with being "adjustable," can rotate. Thus, you'll need the allen wrench, because there's not much to vice-grip onto. I wedged my allen wrench in between the control arm, and then used an open faced wrench.
ok well now that everything is stripped, I'm just going to cut it. o wait I borred my sawzall to my room mate, and my angle grinder, and my cut off wheel is out of wheels. $hit
