I was wondering if the 05 STi has day time running lights. I read the manual and it said it did not have them, but with the selector switch in the off postion, if I pull the stearing wheel all the way down, towards my lap, the headlights come on, the reason I ask is at the same time when I pull the steering wheel down, I sometimes blow the fuse for the turn signals. I have blown the fuse 6-7 times in the last six months, its still under warranty but Morries cant figure it out. Any ideas?

Sounds liek a pinched wire harness around the wheel. I know when I put in a couple of alarms, the wire harness gets wrapped around the metal in there.

Thats the weird thing, I swear that if I bottom out the tilt steering , the headlights come on, and I am sure the switch is off, and it blows the turn signal fuse.:eek3:

See the post Russ made. Sounds like a wiring issue.

Yep, webcrawlr is correct. No daytime lights on the 05 STi. Better send the car back and have them find that. Would hate to see the car go up in flames.

just pull the column cover and check it out, all of what? three screws or something, should be pretty obvious where the problem is if it's a pinch wire.
