Thank you for the clammy-handed, boyish glee I feel when I put the pedal to the floor.

    Sincerely,

    Me

we should have a vendor/ member review section where people can give feedback on experiences they had with vendors from the site and from members who help on the side.

I want to get my 09 wrx tuned, but i worry about possible warranty issues with the dealership. The dealer in Rochester is VERY mod unfriendly.

Yeah, the 08+ STI's are very stout in terms of the power they can put out.

Here's what Jonathan's car did with all stock parts and just a tune (stage 1). Log was from a 3rd gear pull. Weather was in the 50's.

wow. I really can't wait for spring. I was going to wait for the 30,000 miles to tune my 09' as well. but i think just saving some money from snowboard lessons this winter and I will have a faster car come spring.

So with stage 2 there will be a another big bump...Nice.
Wonder that reading will convert to on stang dyno....Bullwinkle do you have some statistics on how road tune readings compare to dyno readings?

Usually fairly close, but probably slightly higher then RS's Mustang locally, especially if temps while tuning are below about 50-60 degrees. I typically see about a 8-10 WHP difference in dyno runs with every 10 degrees outside temp changes.

    Here's a comparo I did last year.

^^Interesting.... Thus i should expect close results as well more advantage is that temps will be below compared to what my tunning temps where.

Fortunately? Unfortunately? I had a bad motor from the factory, resulting in subaru bumping my warranty to a 100,000 mile warranty. I might just take the plunge, but I havent decided yet.

You should bring it to the actual dyno day.

I'll have my '06 at the dyno day and tuned with Nate last week. That should give a good comparison; it sounds like the weather/temps will be about the same.

I'd also like to blame Bullwinkle for the stupid grin I get when I'm into the gas; I try my best to look like a badass, but fail miserably.

That stupid grin is the reason you bought a Subaru and not an Aston Martin. We can't all look like James Bond when we drive. Frankly, I refuse. I'd rather be taken back to my childhood, when my dad would let me hang out of the sunroof of his 70-something VW Bug while we cruised down our dirt road on Sunday mornings.

If you see me on the road with a big, stupid grin on my face--you'll know where I am.

Ugh. Last post for the day. I need to get some work done. But, I agree with JoJ. However, the Stage 2 will be happening quite soon. Google pays me in about 5 days, at which point a Maddad Whisper TBE will be ordered and Bullwinkle's services will once again be employed.

Then I'm going to stop and enjoy some winter driving without thinking about my next upgrade. /facetiousness

Maybe I made a mistake in just skipping straight to Stg2+, haha.

I know the grin'll go away, it always does, just before my paychecks start burning another hole in my pocket.
