Do you have any idea how many people drive stoned everyday? A lot more than you think. Do they cause wrecks? If so, how is that proven? Enforcing a law that says you can't drive and smoke is tough. How do you test someone may or may not be high? Drunk people wreck their cars, beat their wives, and kill people. Stoners' worst enemy is that bag of Doritos in the cupbord. Lastly, the DEA's website is the largest peice of propoganda I've ever seen. They say Marijuana is worse than meth and cocaine. Ummmm, wtf?
The DEA is terrible...there is an approved drug (can't remember the name, Marinol?) where the main/active ingredient in it is THC. So hypocritical. Just to remind everyone, the legislation only addresses decriminalization of personal use. Like carrying less than 3 & 1/2 ounces or something. It DOES NOT mention anything about the laws on growing, selling, etc.
i dunno because it would be a lot more safe? i dunno because it would cut down rush out if not a little bit? im just sayin..not like im actually going to run for governor and be like I WANT TO SPEND A MILLION DOLLARS ON NEW ROADS FOR SEMI's also, the semi's would be able to get to their drop off and load up destinations on time
oh no, the police are gonna come get me because i said ive smoked pot before...get real chris, seriously. You are more paranoid then a crack user.
yes i would... and no im not...are you high? you're the one that thought that cops could arrest us for speaking our mind..we aren't in russia or china
i never use illegal drugs or smoke or shot up...etc. but now I'm a addicts on jag...fuk I'm a drug user....I'm so ashame myself
never said they could, but knowing how moronic some of the people are on this site and the route they choose to go... i would just advise to watch what you say, dont say dumb **** like you are holding or something... no reason to ever provide a reason to be harassed. capiche?
hey man no need to get so aggravated..but i hope you realized you just insulted your peers...why so serious?
Chris has a point. There are some people on here who've proven themselves less than intelligent. Common sense is anything but sometimes. We all have our moments, some just more than others. I highly doubt the police are really going to bother with this, as there are far more pressing concerns for them. If someone were to announce they were growing 100 acres worth, that might merit a visit. As far as your seperate highway system goes, it's a nice "what if" until the ugly bitch that is reality has her way with it. It's not going to happen. There's no room for it, there's no need for it and the ability to maintain one interstate system is lacking, there's no way we'd be able to do two. Of course, if we were to put inmates to work...but I digress.
I +1 the not on the road intoxicated idea - even with pot (though I do consider it slightly less dangerous than alcohol). But otherwise, come on - it's just weed. It's silly to me that it's illegal - though to be fair, MN is one of the more tolerant states.
how about we forget about all this and compromise on one thing....make the left lane of the 494/694 loop like the autobahn. maybe limit the speed to 100 and only certain times of day.
'Twas a great movie...especially in IMAX!!! Back on topic...You would think that the republican side, would like the idea of decriminalization of marijuana. Talk about revenue...Plus, it would lighten the burden on our law enforcement, and would give us back a little bit of our depleting civil liberties Like Bill Hicks said..."Don't you find the idea of making nature illegal, a little paranoid?"
I have mixed feelings about pot. when I first started smoking, it was just a way to chill and hang with friends and drive home doing a comfortable 12 under the entire time, however the more I smoked the more I loved it. before I knew it, I quit my job, dropped out of school and was selling to get by. I was smoking an eighth a day, staying retarded most of the day. whats wrong with that right? well, in my honest opinion pot is the biggest demotovator on the face of the planet. its honestly like that song "then I got high" you find yourself coming up with excuses to smoke for everything, movies, driving, music, hanging out bla bla bla. now this isnt just me, nor am I any different from alot of other smokers out there, I just let pot get out of control. if you know what the "risks" are, such as losing interest in things you love bla bla bla then its not such a bad thing. its not that its addicting in ANY way, its just really too good sometimes. if pot were to get legalized, the nation could go one of 2 ways: 1: people would all just give up on success and settle for a job or life that gets you just what you need and nothing more, and base your life around weed ect. 2: pot would lose its "flare" in other words, alot of people love the aspect of it being illegal, once legalized alot of people would just see it as kind of a fun thing to do every once in a while. bottom line is pot could make the govt alot of money, taxes on that **** would be crazy. on the other hand, dealers that sell weed would have to stop selling because of prices and whatnot and would emphasize thier sales of more serious drugs like coke, meth, ecstacy, heroin the list goes on. getting caught with pot is literally a slap on the wrist as long as you have your stash in one bag, so why not just leave things the way they are......
Why is it mean? You don't get sent to prison for doing good things. It's not supposed to be a good time. It's meant to be a punishment because you broke the law. Why would it be mean to have them out there doing the same work that people get paid to do every day? It's not torture, they're not being beaten. I would rather have them out there building the roads than sitting in a cell or watching tv. So, how is that mean?
yea if people start smoking on a regular basis they will axe murder random people ala "reefer madness"
I think it is completely ridiculous that the federal government can step in, over rule a state law, and prosecute someone for following their doctor's recommendations. I know that North Dakota is looking to make growing hemp legal, so does this mean if that law is passed, that the fed. gov can step in and arrest farmers, and seize their assets for doing absolutely nothing wrong per their state's law? Either make it illegal nation wide, or legalize it nation wide. Honestly, once some of these "old minded" politicians are weeded out of office (pun intended) I think we will see some major changes regarding marijuana laws. Whatever happens, pot is not going away, no matter how hard they try. They can close down the borders, (because that's where it all comes from :roll but that doesn't mean you can't grow it in your back yard.
EXACTLY... i have done both while driving.... let me tell you.. when stoned I couldnt remember how the hell I got through 4 towns in a 25min drive... after drinking I drove with more concentration... either way very very very dumb... In Canberra (Australia's Capital) they legalized pot and prostitution... guess where all the politicians work fact is it never changed things.... dumb ass people still killing or hurting others... yada yada... I say if you wanna do it.. dont drive... but enjoy.. drinking or smoking..
Have less than 42 of MJ grams is already de-criminalized in this state. It's a petty misdeamnor non-crime, like a speeding ticket. If it's in a MV within reach of the driver, it's a misdemeanor, somewhat comparable to an open bottle. Personally, I'm in favor of legalization, but I'll happly prosecute anyone before legalization because: A: Consequences are pretty low. It's a friggin petty. B: Negative externalities of an illegal trade. I have an aquantance up in the north coast of CA who runs various forests (for sustainable harvesting). He can no longer walk around the woods without packing because of the very real likelyhood he'll run into an MJ farm on his land complete with armed guards (and if you're not a fan of illegal immigration, I promise you, these people don't have papers). His children cannot wander around his land like he did when he was a kid because of the same worries. There's also quite a bit of environmental damage from these plantations, which can be quite large, in large part due to complex irrigation systems that are just left there. The North coast of CA is seriously ****ed up because of this stuff. I'd imagine other popular grow locations where MJ is illegal are having similar issues. There's also the whole criminal traffic issue. Yes, all of these are solved by legalization. But until that day, please don't participate in this destructive trade. And if you're high, drunk, whatever, you have no business driving.
Haha, I'm reminded of the simpsons "hey .. that smoke is a bit too inviting, throw on the bag of barber hair!!"
and you all think that is corn growing behind the new house I am building... its a NEW genetic Strain.. you eat it, not only get high but you poop little dots
Speed doesn't kill. It's the differential. Doesn't matter that you're going 10mph when you're on the freeway and get slammed by a car doing 65. Pot reduces reaction times. This is very dangerious when driving. You're not the only person on the road. Someone may step out in from of you, or there may be a disabled vehicle and this can create a dangerious situation. I haz written up a warrant for one AWDimprezaL. That said, it's always a bad idea to admit to illegal acts on a public forum It's a mood altering chemical. If you're on parole (aka felony), you're often banned from all mood altering chemicals. This includes alcohol.
Not all true sir. I think if the driver has more that a gram of pot in his reach it can be considered a felony. I would imagine some one like you would know this. On to other matters, i personally enjoy driving completely sober. But i feel like going faster. When i am under the influence of anything i drive way too slow, considering my speedo doesn't work and the state of paranoia I am constantly under because of it.
No 1.4g-42.5 grams is misdeamnor pos. in a motor vehicle. 42.6 grams is a felony regardless of where it is. Once again showing, don't drive under the influence of any mood altering chemicals.
Do they include the .5 grams for the weight of the baggy? Or is it only the amount of doobage? Edit* - "..nicotine's a drug...caffeine's a drug." - "Those drugs are legal!" :-/
I don't have an opinion either way, but a couple quick questions for you nm+ Any idea where that number came from? 42 grams is a little under 1.5oz. 1/4lb is 4oz. Also, let's say it does get legalized. What happens to everyone locked up prior to legalization. just curious... carry on.
Keep in mind, if you have an ounce weighed up in eighths, (8 bags at 3.5 grams a peice) you have a felony right there. its intent to sell. or if you have a dime and a scale with residue on it thats a felony too I believe. either way, keep one bag on you if youre going to carry lol
^ we dont smoke schwag no more son! if its brown flush it down. buhbuhbuh BEASTASSSS (at least) I havnt smoked in a while...... I like knowing where my keys are tho......
