Same thing happened to me, same damage. Talk to the dudes @mtka and see if they can get the parts, and have someone put them on. I didn't trust the insurance folks hehe, made them cut me a check ;)

    ^^^ This

And spend $12 on a MNSOC membership cause it looks like your going to save more than that on the parts your going to be buying.... Have the insurance company write you a check for the amount as if they dealership is doing the work and then get the parts with your new discount and have members help you install the parts!!!!

I'm not sure if insurance will just write you a check if you have a loan on it, the bank wants it repaired so they can sell it if you stop paying for it.

That sucks, i've been there, same damage, other side.

I'll buy your old bumper cover if they replace it. Also your right fender, but it doesn't look like there's damage on it.

Depends on the insurance, but I have a loan and they cut me a check for the repairs. Why would you stop paying for it? It's just some damage, can be fixed. I donno people are strange I guess.

If the bank has to repo it, they want a car that's fixed instead of you making off with the money. I am in no way saying to stop paying the loan. If you can get a check, then awesome.

Abra in coon rapids did a pretty good job fixing my deer incedent, but I really didn't like dealing with them, they were very artificial and keep telling me that they were going to bring it back to "pre-accident condition" and I didn't like talking to one guy for the initial estimates with him telling me what they were going to do and then having someone else actually work on my car. And it took the machanic 20 min to barley strap my old hood to my roof rack not letting me help when it took me 3 min to redo it securely a block away.

I've heard good things about Hamline auto body, they are very thorough in finding damage, but it took them 3 days to fix my windsheild and side mirror, granted they had trouble getting parts.

Spring Lake Park Auto, John S. He is the man and was easily the cheapest when I was getting quotes for my car. Hes very popular so there may be a wait but he cut me a really really good deal.

Thanks for all the input guys. The insurance company will not be cutting me a check directly... The adjuster just finished looking at the car/ writing her estimate.

    Estimated damages: $4345.79
    Deductible: $750
Destroying a deer: One hell of a pain in the ass

I'm headed back to bed, once I get to work tonight I'll scan/upload the actual break down of everything.

Well obviously I never got around to uploading the specifics...

Morries in Minnetonka is fixing her up for me at the moment. They just got all the parts in on Tuesday and their hoping to be finishing up with her on Friday or early next week. After digging into it another 800 bucks in parts was needed, but I dont have the specifics on what exactly those parts are.

Pics and a detailed report of the damages pending...

Hope they get it all fixed up nice for you, I'm sure they will.

Are you keeping that bumper cover? Let me know if you don't want it, I'll help you take down some of that deductible?

to reply to your previous post and this one... The right fender is not being replaced as far as I know. I highly doubt it because I was not able to find any damage on it. I'll give the shop a call to see if they still have the "old" parts. I know they have already taken all the damaged body parts off so they may or may not still have them.

    I'll keep you posted

No go on recovering any of the damaged parts. They said recycling them was factored into the cost so I couldn't get them back...

Also, I picked her up last night, so far everything is looking good! I just wish they had painted the rest of the car too...
