I have a decent sized dent from a tree branch that fell on my forester and was wondering of any local places that fix dents on the rather cheap side because i have dents all over the rest of it that id like to get fixed this summer. Also any place thats good for minor body work primarily rust repair (not much rust or very major rust ie: gaping holes)

    Thanks

I can't suggest any places for you, but places that do it "on the cheap" generally don't do it "on the quality". And rust repair is hardly ever cheap, especially with how stupid expensive materials are. Best of luck out there.

Like @Krazylegz1485 said quality does not come cheap. There is so much that goes into rust repair between time and materials than people really realize. Typical shop rates are $85-$125 an hour, I charge $65 for side work. Any cheaper than that and the tech would be screwing themselves or you'll be left with a walmart style bondo repair and acme paint that may last a year or two at the max and still not look right.

    Amen to all of this.

Also, about your rust. Rust hardly ever starts on the outside. Almost always starts on the inside and worms its way out, so it's usually worse than you think. Not saying yours is for sure that way, but that's pretty common. Also another reason why rust repair can be more than people think, because it's much worse under the surface. Think Titanic...

Agreed. My rust appeared to be surface rust from chipped paint. Then when I went to actually grind it away with a dremel I realized how bad it really was. Your surface rust could turn out to be a "pit". Aka there is no healthy metal underneath.

But with any luck there could hopefully be some heavy metal. Woo!
