Geez man, Looking good! I like your turbo mounting spot! Are you going to have one in each headlight?
I know this thread is 58 pages and all, but if you would just look back a little bit and see... one turbo. It's still going to be the 2.65 and two turbos of that size would take 11kabillion rpm's to spool (or like 9 maybe).
In my best NASIOC voice, "You should really grind those welds down and have a professional go over them."
if i could tke a close pic of my welds with out them being a blur i would. they look great. oh wait.. i should post your practice piece i found in my garage when you left.. lol!
Oh, wait. I don't own a TIG welder. :dunno: Better than Dippis can do, lol. I can get it done. It might not be pretty, but it works. I'f I would have known to mess with with the wave settings, my manni would have gone much better.
Fobia, Are you moving the driver seat back? What are the rules on the rear hoop? I thought you would have to have it allot closer to the driver seat. I am guessing this is going to be an 8.50 cage.
why does every body keep asking that? does it really look that far back? remember that i am 6-3 and when i put my seat in ( started fitting for it yesterday) its about 3 inches from the hoop. i still have yet to look closely into it but as it sits it is at least a 8.50 cage. 8.50 is a 10 point and im at a 12 if it was still in a standard chassis.
I think people are being thrown off by the lack of the floor pan. In reality the hoop is right about where the edge of the rear seat shelf would be in a car with the original pan, and that's pretty much where the main hoop goes.
Well thats fine if you fitted the seat. From the pics it looks like the hoop is in the middle of the rear door. I just couldn't remember what the rule was on it.
This is one awesome project, It really takes alot of good planing to make somthing like this to work. The project looks like it is going in the right direction!
its the holidays folks. People need time off from car projects as well. He was in texas all last week.
