Why? Talk about parasitic power loss. Th350 if your going that route. His car is not heavy enough for a th400
And its gonna be a monster street car, so a glide would be retarded. I only said 400 because they are a bit stronger then the 350.
Th350's are just as strong as a 400. The 400 is a better choice if your trying push a 66 impala into the single digits. There are guys on tcstangs running 9's with a th350.
good lord!! 33s on an STi?! that would take some hella tucking/tubbing. like, cut a hole in the trunk lid for them to stick out the top :eek4::eek3: maybe it would work, but picturing 33s that I've worked with on off-road rigs....that would be insane.
have you guys even seen the pics? all the cutting and frame work i have done is so i can fit a big tire. the wheels im looking at know are a 15r X 16w x 32t. but will most likely trade out the tires for a 15r X 10.5 to a 14w x 30 to a 32
I know you hate when you see things that you were gonna try and do or they do after you but I didn't know how your turbo location was gonna work out till I saw this and I say DO IT! **** likes ****ing sweet!!!
You have other pics? That could very easily be a simple intake to a rotated mount. Anyone can weld, so bitch please. Provide evidence.
im all ready scratching it it i think. going back with the fog light. was concerned about the drain line now that im making my own oil pan for my dry sump and found out that with a dry sump you can use one of the stages to pump oil out of the turbo. im sure i will change my mind when the time comes to make the kit again. still thinking of the best way to build a kit that i can pull the whole motor in and out with and change out fast.
I have. 750+ hp '67 vette, and a 55 chevy that was never on the dyno, but ran low 8s. I just don't know how well a powerglide will work for a turbo 4-cylinder car. V8s have a much broader powerband than a turbo 4.
Good call. So what are you thinking? Still a GM trans, right? TH350? TH400 is, again, a torque robber.
well the one i have my eye on is a ford. but there is so many th440, th350's to choose from. when i het to the point to buy one i will let you all know what i choose
Wow you should see these wheels! Also got some other goodies! The guy he bought it from owned the race track out there. Let's just say he had a nice garage full of toys!
it will never be "done". i want it drivable by April. well that's my goal at least but money it the big factor in getting it there.
