Denny Heckers Hyundai has an 05 STi on the lot with 3,500 miles on it. Practically BRAND NEW. Its in MINT condition. Someone should really pick it up. Blue with gold wheels. But anyways I test drove it and it was amazing! I had never driven a turbo car before. Well except for a turbo diesil cab over. But that hardly counts. But anyways I was with my dad on his way to the I-State truck dealership off 35w and county C. And we drove right by the Hyundai dealership and saw this beauty right out front. I talked him into stopping to look at it. And after about 5 mins he gets the guy to let us go for a drive. I drove! Im not 18 yet so this was a really big deal to me. The salesman rode with us and was really cool about it. I pushed the car a little but not too much cause I was pretty nervous. All I really wanted to say was STi's are awesome and I know what my next car is going to be.

Hey I drive an RS too. I know what you mean. I forgot to say the price. I believe it was listed at $29,900 but I'm sure they would negotiate it down.

Denny Heckers gives good deals but their business practices are horrible. My co-worker just bought a car from them last weekend at the state fairgrounds. They bought a 2006 Ford Taurus for $10,000 and was promised that the car was going to get washed by the time they were done. When DH financed them, the rate was 18% (co-worker's kid has no credit history). More negotiating got them 10.9%. Even more negotiating got them to 8.89%. That was the final deal. So the sales guy brings out the contract for the sale. They were about to sign until they notice that the rate mysteriously showed 10.9% and the price of the car was $10,900.

When DH brings the car around, they look around it once more and notice that that wasn't even the car they wanted. Same car... but this one had ~15,000 more miles on the odo. Eventually after 4 hours of the deal, they got the car that they wanted, the price that they made a deal on, and on the rate they agreed with.

Moral: when dealing with Denny Hecker (or any sales people), make sure you know what contract you're going to sign because that is a legal binding contract that you must commit to.

Yeah, DH has bad business joojoo all over him. Before he was into cars he was the idiot who always left people in the dark and twisted peoples money around, atleast in the TC business community.

I've seen two Denny Hecker commercials. And both times I said to myself, "That guy looks like a fat, swindling, douchebag. I wouldn't buy a car from him if he was the only guy selling cars."
My only advice with places like Denny Hecker, or any dealership for that matter...have a price in mind before hand, KNOW your credit rating (KNOW IT) and remember these 6 words..."You Are Not Obligated To Buy." You can walk out whenever you want for whatever reason you want. Try it sometime when you think you are getting ****ed...just get up without a single word, turn around and walk to your car. Get in your car. And leave. I guarantee you will have messages on your phone full of apologies and "we can make the numbers work" nonsense. No offense to the sales guys on the boards...I know you guys dish out the deals. But not everyone buys ONLY subarus.

Subaru Salesman's nightmare...a kid wanting to drive an STi, 90% of the time they just want to beat the living daylight out of it...I'm sure every salesman here had that issue a few times...Sometimes I know it can come off that they are ****s, it is too bad that the serious buyers sometimes take a hit on customer service, because I've notice older salespeople just do not have patient with these customers...Luckily for me, with the internet...I do a lot of appointments and when we set it up and they show up for it. They are usually pretty serious...Unfortunately, Salespeople do not get paid for Test Drives.
