This ss line has been sitting in my garage for far too long. In fact, I forgot about it. So, after rediscovering the plastic bag of goodies that was stashed away in my parts box I decided to install it. Wow, what a difference. It feels the same as ss brake lines. Firm, consistent, and just damn solid. this has got to be one of the best mods under 40 bucks. If you haven't installed one of these yet I'd definitely suggest it.
Me too! I have a SS clutch line in my possession for over 3 years now but I just haven't made the time to install it. Mine is the one with the pink coating over the line. How difficult was the install? I haven't installed SS brake lines or clutch lines before so what is involved? Special tools? You stated that you noticed a difference... what was the difference? I mean, does it allow a quicker engagement/disengagement of the clutch?
It's a very firm pedal feel compared to stock. It's easier to estimate where the clutch will engage/disengage. quicker? I don't know yet. Easy to install? Heck yes. no special tools needed, but I would recommend having someone help you bleed the system. I did mine alone and it took twice as long bleeding the clutch. 1. remove IC 2. remove cap from clutch reservoir 3. place two or three heavy duty rags under clutch line connections so soak up any spills. 4. remove clip holding line to bracket 5. remove rear part of line that connects to the clutch hard line. 6. disconnect line from cylinder 7 Install new line 8. bleed system (replace cap) 9. install IC
