Dumb brake pad question

    I feel like an idiot for asking this...but here it goes. I got my StopTech brake pads today and opened them up and noticed that only 1 pad out of the 4 has a metal clip thing on it. It's the same for the front and back. What is this metal clip thing and why is it on only one pad out of the four?!?

    Just dawned on me...is this a wear indicator?

    Yup, pretty sure its the wear indicator. Ugh, I feel stupid.
