My e-brake needs adjustments or new pads. Does anyone know how to adjust the cable? Also, was is supposed to be the correct thickness of the e-brake pads?
Nathan did mine, there is something on the rear brake in back that you adjust it with, not the handle in the car adjustment.
He also did mine at the ice races. At the rear-wheel and at the center column in the car. Works muuuuuch better!
theres a little nipple on the inside of the brake that can be adjusted.. and just so u know the ebrake works off of a drum on the inside of the rear rotor

i didnt do it...brian and ben both did. i'm guessing they did it the right way. its kept in the warm garage so i dont think it is frozen.
I'll do mine tonight and let you guys know how it goes. FYI: Evidentially the orginal thickness of the pad is 5mm, once you get to 2mm then it needs to be replaced
well, it worked. My e-brake seems to engage better. It's still not like my gf's wrx where you only have to pull up a couple inches and it totally locks the rear wheels. She never uses her's though, it's an auto. I'll check my pads this spring...love taking off those rear rotors. yuk
to look at or replace the e-brake pads you have to take off the rotors, they are inside and not to be confused with your the regular rear pads
also adjust the cable under the center console. that will take the slack out of the cable... and remove the extra inches... :eek3:
I tightened se7enrex's, works great now. In the center console there is a bolt, a nut, and a lock nut. brake the lock nut loose a little bit, throw a rachet on there and crank until it gets tight. then check the pull and see if its where you want it. Took what, 10 minutes will?
^^ I'll try that next. I still think I need to replace the pads....last time I looked at them they seemed a bit over used.
