How out there is an eagle scout? just wondering cuase it would be cool if there were alot of eagles here. I am an Eagle Scout as of this year (w00t)
I am, or was... whatever. Congrats to all the others Now if only I could make Vigil one of these years...
Vigil is tough, i never attemp the conclaves so i am still ordeal. any of you ever go to Pine Tree JLTC at stearns?
I did Pine Tree a long, long time ago. One of the best weeks of camping I've ever been through. We survived a near miss with a tornado that touched down only a few miles north of us. That night did carry torrential rains and the loudest thunder I've ever heard in my life. We were in the "toilet bowl" site, the one downhill (downhill!) from the latrine in that NE corner of the camps. The rain left almost a foot of standing water so for our site project we built boardwalks and a platform for our dining area. I think it is still regarded as one of the best projects they'd ever seen done for a campsite at PT. For us it was just a way to keep dry We do our conclaves out at Ajawah. I'm sure some of you are familiar with that camp. I've been going to that same one for over ten years, it's also one of the best trips to make. Any of you stay at Voyageurs at Many Point in the past several years? My brother was a counselor up there for a few years, as were several others from our troop.
awsome, its great to see some pine tree people on here. what patrol were you? i was a badger, then i was on staff this past year, it was my best experience in scouting. my troop goes to voyager at many point alsmot every year. i know AC Adam christensen who was director of open program at voyager for a couple of years.
im not one but know a lot of guy who are...cuz i used to work at the scout shop in roseville and in st. paul...Indianhead Council....
you worked in the scout shop? i have a question for you. are scout shorts marked at the store to $30 a pair, or do you get them that way? i have alwasy been puzzled to why those are so expensive. i mean sure they are indestrutible, but come on $30.

I dropped out of scouting after my Life rank in 1991. Man, I'm old
