Taught my son how to drive his first car and first stick shift. He gets his permit this Spring. wooo wo. 1985 Subaru Turbo XT front wheel drive, 5 speed. (Only problem is it's quicker then my AWD XT) Not I have a road course around my yard. lol Best Easter I have ever had. He lives with my ex and I dont get to see him much. First thing he ever had with a clutch and he did great. He can pull second going down the property line before getting out to the road. (sorry for picture size, proud dad thing going on here)
The first manual I drove it was: "Here's the car. (pan to a busted up 1992 Chevy Beretta) Get to Redwood Falls now." lol Looks like he had fun! Congrats!
That looks like a realy clean XT!! Is it from down south? Congrats to your son. What kind of car do you drive? Maybe I'll see you guys around town sometime P-town w00t!
awesome, nothing like getting a start before he's on the road, :hsugh: maybe he would have some fun in some rally or auto cross events this summer? (I don't know if you need a drivers license or not?) Turbo/Subaru first car and a manual= Awesome Dad/ Lucky son!
haha fun!!! Since I have driven a manual..2 months after I had gotten my permit, I can't go to driving an auto! I love manuals!! great thing to learn!
Well The car came from Washington State. Gal let her sister drive it out to St Cloud and thats where it went down hill. It blew a head gasket, someone told her it was a water pump and then they tore the motor apart to replace pump and made a bigger mess. Car was towed to shop in Princeton and when she was emailed what it would cost to put it back together she decided to sell it out for what she owed. The people that tore the motor apart stuck a screw driver thru the bottom of the gas tank and the car was a garbage can inside. Only thing left to fix is the A/C. I drive the other white XT AWD with the wrx scoop and Fiero wing. There are pictures floating around on the board here of it and I think of my son's car when I first got it. He's pretty happy and I hope he takes care of it. john
