I dunno...I would want to know too. Because I'm working on my EJ22T wire harness.....and it's from an auto...but I think that it might need a ground somewhere...

i heard that you can use the same wires from the auto for the park/nuetral start. and wire it in for the neutral on the 5spd (or clutch in or something, idk i read it along time ago.) it can be done though. heard it from a guy on i-club putting a 6spd into a svx.

when i did mine, assuming the legacy harness is the same as the impreza harness all you should need to do is on the plug that goes into the shift selector box on the auto tranny( should be a gray 12 pin plug) all you do is jumper the 11 and 12 pins and that will allow the car to start(just jumpers the starter relay). this will allow the car to start if is in gear or not though, so you don't have the safety of the nuetral safety switch. but this is a quick easy way to make the car able to start.

sweet!! thanks! that's exactly what I wanted. I don't want the switch to work, it wouldn't be the first time I've had to use the starter to get going because of a broken clutch cable (though it better not. I've got a brand-new OEM one now!!)
