i need suggestions on engine managment. i currently have a 02 wrx with up pipe, down pipe, and cat back (funny how we call it that when there arent any) exhaust mods. i also have a drop in k&n and an injen cold air sitting here that i think im gonna sell. im not too hardcore really but i want engine managment before messing with boost so stuff doesnt blow up. what should i get and why. soon on the way is a larger tmic and all new intake and intercooler hoses. i would love 300 whp but i dont think that is attainable with the stock turbo. tell me what i should do. i love suggestions. thanks.
I wouldn't suggest an off the shelf AP map with the intercooler that redwagon is getting in the near future.
Well, you do need the ap before you get the street tuner. You can also get a utec. Now with the new firmware updates it is a very good piece of hardware. Are you looking for something that you can tinker with, or are you more of a set it and forget it kinda person? Russ
probably set it, but i want to go beyond what the cobb maps are set for. can you have someone make maps cor the accessport without the street tuner?
Yes, you can get custom tuned be someone that has the protuner software (I have it). They will do a custom tune for your car and it would just be another map. Russ
