As u guys might know from the photo thread....I just installed my Apexi exhaust which is a 3in mid and 3.5 axle back....I intalled it two days ago but this morning my car would not starts...it was cranking but not starting....I gave it a little gas and it started fine...and on the way back...I was driving a little hard and on a turn it shut down on me...but i just started right back up... Anyone have any info wat it could be....I relized that I did not reset the ecu...So when I got home I did...Otherwise so far it's been perfect... Thanks.. Moh
shouldnt have had to reset the ECU!!!! not a bad idea but bolting on a cat-back would NOT have screwed up something.. (GENERALLY) ha haah depends on what else you touched while installing it...
^^^^....Hmm...then I wonder wat could have done it...I just got back from giving my bro a ride and the car ran perfect...but I would still like to know wat could have caused such things...I am sure someone here knows...cuz there is many expericnced peeps with exhaust.... Moh
That's EXACTALLY wat crossed my mind as soon as it wouldn't start...but this morning was a much different type of cranking noise...it was weird...when it did not start cuz the sprocket it was kinda good sound of cranking...Hope it's nothing big....
Well what did you get a cel?? If the motor just died on you while driving, you should have a cel of some kind. A cat back (or even turbo back) is not going to make the motor die. It is just a bunch of pipes. If the motor is just quiting on you, I would start by checking fuel and spark things. Russ
^I agree, muffler bearing and the o2 sensor fluid. any word on the cel russ was asking about? did yuu go absolutely crazy and start hammering around under the car....maybe hitting something....:dunno:
sounds like no fuel. was your tank near empty? sometimes when u go around a corner and your near empty the gas will shift in your tank and not pump any gas
I did not get any cels....but ^^^^^^^^^^^ that sounds right...I was really low on gas...but now I filled up......but I just woke up and going to go start my car...and i'll let u guys know about if it starts.... But interms of the spark plugs and fuel filter...I changed the fuel filter last summer and the spark plugs about two week ago....but if a dirty MAF can do that then maybe I will check that...I never really look at it...We'll see... Any more possiblites...
