Ok so my fan has been kinda flaky lately the last couple days...I'm suspecting there may be something electrical or I may need a new one. Sometimes when I start the car the fan doesn't turn on(most of the time the switch was left on full blast when I shut the car off being its cold out). Its done this three times now in the last 2 days. One of the times the heat was not turned on at all yet when I turned the switch nothing happened after the car was started. Any suggestions or should I just replace it being Mike Wray has one available from his parts car? What a crappy time for this to happen with the weather lately.
It sounds like its the fan, if its not working, try going under the dash and hitting it, (its a circular looking thing under the glove box) if it comes on, you know the bearings in it are bad, this happend to my impreza 2 yrs ago, it sucked.
That sucks. Mine did the same damn thing last night. It was my buddies gigantic feet. He kicked the fan motor by accident and it loosened the connection just enough so it would come on...then shut off with every bump I hit. I pulled the clip/connection and pushed it back in real hard.....works fine now. GL
No passengers the last couple nites. I'll check the connection when I get home. Too cold to do it in the work ramp.
Oh u mean the one I'm wearing lolz Dreamis I may take you up on that. Don't need the ramps for working inside it though. My garage still has a monster pile of tools and whatnot in the middle being its getting all finished.
It could also be the fan relay. I've been through a few in my subarus. Also, I've heard of the switchbox going out. Anyways, when my fan relay is going out, the fan will not come on right away, then after a little while it comes on. This usually lasts about a week or so before it doesn't come on at all.

Hmm something else to check into. I should just replace the whole thing being Mike has the parts. I'm gonna look at it tonite we'll see if anything is visibly wrong before I purchase pieces.
